Why Stunning Jade?

Stunning Jade was thought up trying to balance the needs of education and parents in this very changing and challenging time in education. I taught middle school social studies for six years, including virtual and hybrid learning. When my daughter was born, my husband and I decided for me to stay at home. 

I enjoy being with my child during the day, and now I am getting in daily workouts now that she is mobile. Seeing my former colleagues continue to struggle with every mounting pressure from society hurts. This stems from various issues, from lack of pay to disrespectful parents and administrators. I see teachers struggle, and I hear teachers are leaving, and I would like to help.

Helping is what teachers do. Some parents want to help. Help with classroom needs. Help their child succeed. The disrespectful and, for lack of a better word, aggressive parent is highlighted on the news and what teachers worry about. However I and many educators know that most parents are not like this. I want to provide a space where parents can get resources and know they are doing right by their children. 

Children are central in the class. Imagine if collaboration with parents and teachers is the norm. Many educators are suffering from burnout and demoralization. Some parents want to help.
